About CCR

Purpose

The purpose of Centre for Consumer Research is to gain knowledge of consumption and consumption patterns, which is relevant for researchers, authorities, the industry, organizations, and consumers. The centre is a meeting place for researchers from different disciplines. By working together in interdisciplinary teams a more balanced, profound, and deeper understanding of consumption can be reached. The centre serves as a forum for consumer researchers nationally as well as internationally, and wants to initiate a dialogue between researchers, consumer organizations, companies and authorities interested in understanding consumers. Cooperation with society

Centre for Consumer Research aims to cooperate with society by: 

  • Public seminars
  • Research reports (e.g. the yearly Consumption Report) available to download from the website
  • Involves corporations, NGO´s and public organisations in research workshops
  • Coordinates the research network ConriN with approximately 300 consumer researchers in the Nordic countries.
     

CCR also maintains in-depth partnerships with a number of public institutions, such as the Swedish Consumer Agency and the Region of Västra Götaland and engage in commissioned research in the public sector.

Communication

We communicate research through our website, a newsletter to journalists and researchers, press releases, and through Facebook (www.facebook.com/grihandels) and Twitter (https://twitter.com/grihandels).
